Content Guidelines
As the year draws to a close the remaining three month's of off line backgammon competitions seem stronger than ever. Reinforcing the belief that backgammon is turning into a big attraction across the globe.
One of the major events takes place this weekend with upwards of one hundred and twenty players competing for the crown in Portugal to be the first ever Portuguese Open Champion, with top prize money of Euros 15,000 at stake. Among the competitors hoping to win this coveted prize will be Andreas Humke who won the Doubles in the Belgian Backgammon open earlier this year and who was narrowly defeated in the semi finals of the World Championship' to the eventual runner up Luigi Villa.
Expect Andreas along with the other 120 plus competitors to be battling hard this weekend over in Portugal.
